Teacher Training and Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

Empowering teachers to be confident in outdoor learning.

Our team are more than happy to share their skills and show you the ropes in making outdoor learning fun, meaningful and safe.  As well as the courses below we also are able to develop bespoke training that fits with your school and staff.

Introduction to outdoor learning

In this practical and interactive workshop our experts show you how being outside impacts learning and behaviour and give you tools to get nature working for you. Using evidence-based practice, real life examples and tried and tested techniques you will leave with the ideas, inspiration and confidence you need to get your learners nature connected. From classroom champions to Forest School fanatics, there is something for everyone!

Fire and fire safety

  • Do you want to use fire in your setting but aren’t sure where to start?

Our Fire training for Competence and Confidence CPD session is here to help. We take you through health and safety, risk benefit assessment, equipment, safe lighting and leaving, lesson planning, class management and the pedagogy of why fire is such a valuable tool in schools.

Your team will leave with the confidence and competence to use fire with their class and to reap the benefits of this spectacular resource.

Bespoke CPD

  • Does your team want to use outdoor learning but doesn’t know where to start?
  • Do you want to upskill some staff to support your Forest School leads?
  • Do you have a new team and want to use outdoor learning to strengthen relationships? Are your learners showing you they need something more?

Whatever you need, our expert team can deliver the workshop you need. From the basics to extended CPD our team have experience and skills in outdoor education, Forest School, ecology, mental health, teaching, arts, SEND, management, history, arts and much more. Training can be from 2-hour twilights to full day development sessions.

Now, instead of thinking why outdoors? We think why indoors?”

So, contact our Education and Learning Team for more information.  Tell us what you need to make nature work for you.
