Youth for the Wild 11 - 24's - Campaign kick off!
, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY2 6AH
About the event
This event may be moved online depending on Government guidance, we will keep in touch with you via email so please do book if you want to be involved.
Over the last few months, we have had a series of online Question Time events, looking at a variety of different environmental issues. One member of Youth for the Wild will start by telling us a little about his experiences this summer campaigning against HS2 in an ancient woodland. Then we’ll think about all of the different issues we’ve explored over the last few months. Which one would we like to look at taking action on? What could we do over the next few months to help campaign around that issue?
Youth for the Wild is organised by young people for young people as part of our Growing Confidence project, aimed at encouraging 11-24's to be more aware of the environment. Youth for the Wild sessions take place once a month in Shrewsbury and will involve social events, talks, training, careers advice and campaigning.
If you are considering an environmental career, are concerned about local environmental issues or just want to meet like minded people then come along. It is great for learning about local wildlife, habitats and building new skills to add to your CV.
