About the reserve

Redwing Fields was originally arable fields near the River Severn, but after the neighbouring area was developed for housing and a new school, this strip of land was left as a buffer. An enlightened partnership between Shropshire Wildlife Trust and Shropshire Homes saw this area transferred to the Trust in 2022, to provide a space for wildlife to thrive and the local community to be inspired. It's still very much a site in development, but visitors are welcome.
