A drop-in event at The Cut. Learn all about birds’ eggs and nests, ready for Easter. Explore our collection of perfect replicas and real nests and have a go at the nest building challenge. Fun facts, the science behind it all and everything in between.
About the event
The nesting season is under way, so take the opportunity to come and learn about the breeding habits of our feathered friends. See the amazing variety in birds’ eggs for yourself and examine some real nests. Tiny eggs, huge eggs, pointed eggs and round eggs – how much do you really know about this vital but hidden part of a bird’s life? Do you think you could make a nest yourself? How would you manage with just your feet and a beak? Try our nest building challenge – chocolate eggs up for grabs if you can make a nest that will hold them!
This drop-in event is free, but donations are appreciated to cover the cost of materials and support our work.
