Accessible Reserves
Limited mobility shouldn’t mean missing out on nature. We are working hard to make our reserves more accessible for everyone.
Please note that due to the nature of these reserves some can become very muddy during the winter months which can affect access.
If you would like more information about visiting any of our nature reserves, please contact us.
Each of our Nature Reserves have accessibility information on their page. We have used the traffic light system:
Red: These reserves are remotely located, with no easy access, and difficult terrain. Not accessible by wheelchair users or those with limited mobility.
Amber: These reserves have easier terrain, but may have kissing gate entrances that make them unsuitable for wheelchair users. Those with limited mobility may be able to visit many of these.
Green: Suitable for all, with flat terrain and paved surfaces.
Here you’ll find the reserves we recommend as Green, for those with limited mobility or pushchairs.
