The UK's month-long nature challenge
30 Days Wild is The Wildlife Trusts' annual nature challenge where we ask the nation to do one 'wild' thing a day every day throughout June.
Your daily wild activities can be anything you like - you might be having breakfast with the birds on Monday, feeling the grass between your toes on Tuesday, and watching wildlife webcams on Wednesday. There’s no set structure, so you can take part in a way that suits you. Alongside benefiting your local wildlife, taking part in 30 Days Wild is scientifically proven to make you feel happier, healthier, and more connected to nature.
Last year, over 74% of people said #30DaysWild improved their mental health. This year, NHS is joining us to encourage you to take part and go wild for wellbeing this June.
We give you tips and ideas throughout June on our social channel so make sure you are following and liking our pages. We'd love to see what you get up too so do share your activities with us there.
In 2023, 30 Days Wild challenge explored a different theme each week to help people connect with the natural world and achieve the 30-day target.
- Look, touch and smell
- Move in nature
- Discover nature
- Helping nature
- Connect with nature
Anyone can take part in 30 Days Wild. As well as individuals and families, we even have packs for use in schools, care homes and businesses, plus lots of inspiration for activities.
I can't wait to get involved with 30 Days Wild challenge this summer. I’m really into birds and birdwatching so I'll be on the lookout for some special sightings but also love finding new ways to reconnect with nature. The Wildlife Trusts ambassador
