About the event

Today’s urban environments are filled with impermeable surfaces that do not allow rain water to absorb into the ground as it would in a natural system. This results in high levels of flooding and increased pollution of our water ways, as well as a loss of biodiversity. Rain gardens are designed to combat this, by allowing rainwater to soak away into the soil. Best of all they are simple and inexpensive to make.
